Privacy Notice for Job Candidates

Data Controller: Boreas Teknoloji ve Endüstri Sanayi Ticaret Anonim Şirketi (“Company”)

As Boreas Teknoloji ve Endüstri Sanayi Ticaret Anonim Şirketi, we attach importance to the security and privacy of your personal data; in our capacity as “data controller” under the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), as amended by Law No. 7499, we hereby inform you within the following scope:

A. Method of Collection and Legal Basis

Your personal data is collected verbally, in writing or electronically via career platforms (e.g. Kariyer.net or LinkedIn), our company websites, e-mail, physical applications or interviews. This data is processed within the framework of the processing conditions set out in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK, as amended.

B. Purposes of Processing

Your collected personal data will be processed for the purposes of:

• Carrying out job application and recruitment processes and assessing the suitability of candidate qualifications for open positions,
• Conducting the necessary interview and verification/analysis work by our relevant business units,
• Conducting communication activities and contacting candidates,
• Fulfilling legal and regulatory requirements and responding to information/document requests from public authorities,
• Implementing and developing our Company’s Human Resources policies and strategies.

C. Parties to Whom Your Personal Data May Be Transferred

Limited to the purposes above, your personal data may be transferred to Boreas Teknoloji ve Endüstri Sanayi Ticaret Anonim Şirketi’s affiliated centers and units, our subsidiaries, business partners, suppliers, legally authorized public institutions and organizations, and judicial/administrative authorities, within the framework of Article 8 of the KVKK. Where the performance of the service requires a transfer abroad, such transfers are carried out in accordance with Article 9 of the KVKK, as amended (on the basis of adequacy decisions or the appropriate safeguards listed in the Law, in particular standard contracts notified to the Authority).

D. Retention

Candidate data is retained for the period required by the recruitment process and the applicable legislation, after which it is erased, destroyed or anonymised in accordance with Article 7 of the KVKK.

E. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to learn whether your data is processed, to request information if it has been processed, to learn whether it is used in accordance with its purpose, to know the third parties to whom it is transferred in Turkey or abroad, to request the correction of incomplete/incorrect data, and to request the deletion of your data. To exercise your rights, you may apply to our Company in writing or via the registered electronic mail address boreasteknoloji@hs03.kep.tr (KEP) or by e-mail at info@boreastech.com. Applications are concluded free of charge as soon as possible and within 30 (thirty) days at the latest.
